Derrickman

Our client is currently in the process of deploying a Jack-Up unit to carry out drilling operations in the Dutch Sector of the North Sea. They are looking for various qualities to man the positions on the rig during this operation.

The Derrickman’s responsibility is the mixing of mud chemicals and the measuring of mud density. The Derrickman is directed by the mud Engineer on what to add and to what proportion. On small land drilling crews, the Derrickman is second in rank to the Driller; on larger crews, there may be an Assistant Driller as well. 

•  0.5 Offshore Safety Introduction and Emergency response Training (BOSIET / FOET)
• OGUK Medical
• Basic Safety VCA / MIST (Rig Pass)
• Detailed TRA / PtW training
